Who We Are

Everything’s For Sale was set up by Marcus Weedon as an umbrella company to showcase his current businesses and inform on his previous.

Marcus Weedon’s first businesses begin back in 1988 when as an entrepreneurial teenager at the forefront of the Acid House and Rave scene, his career grew working alongside DJ’s Andrew Weatherall, Paul Oakenfold and Danny Rampling. 

In 1993 he co-owned the Riki Tik bar in Soho, the hangout for the creative youth of its time many of whom have become household names in the music and fashion industries. His large scale events company Riki Tik Productions was also front and centre of the scene working with brands such as The Face, Levi's, Sony and a lot of fun was had hosting the Brit Awards after show party between 1996 and 2000.   

In 2005 he co-opened The Griffin pub in Shoreditch which became a local institution.

In 2007 Marcus co-created and launched indie festival Field Day, it’s ethos of booking alternative artists from around the world made it really popular with an independent minded music loving crowd, it was first held at Victoria Park in East London and the event grew from a 5k capacity 2 day festival, to an annual 2 day event that was attracting 70k people by 2018. UK conglomerate Global acquired the Festival in 2016.

The first Underage Festival also took

place the same weekend.

Venn Street Market was founded by Marcus in 2008 and is a popular and successful weekly artisan produce market in Clapham, this was his first venture creating an experience and shopping destination, Marcus recognised that Venn Street leant itself to being pedestrianised perfectly and negotiated with the council to make this happen, livening the area for the weekends and bringing footfall to the permanent businesses.

 In 2010 Marcus co-founded XOYO a club and live music venue occupying a former print works in Shoreditch, XOYO was sold to the Columbo Group in 2011.

 Winterville, a 5 week winter festival was first conceived and created by Marcus and ran between 2014 and 2020 firstly in Victoria Park before moving to Clapham Common. It was a pop-up interactive Festive experience with a mix of indoor and outdoor entertainment including an ice rink and cinema, street food and bars. and attracted over 250k people per year. Winterville took a break after the Coronavirus pandemic.

In 2017 Marcus co-founded Mighty Hoopla, Cross the Tracks and Wide Awake festivals, these are now all under the parent company Brockwell Live along with City Splash, Project 6

and Brockwell Bounce. These are each 30k capacity festivals that are staged annually in Brockwell Park near Brixton.

In 2019 Marcus was asked by the South Bank Centre to take over a large site near to the London Eye and here he created Between The Bridges a bespoke live entertainment site that features a variety of live and unexpected events, from barefoot bowls to drag show cabaret and Swiftageddon, as well as a wide array of specialist food and beverage offerings.

South-Facing festival began in 2021 in Crystal Palace Bowl, it is a series of 10k capacity concerts and has artists such as Grace Jones, Noel Gallagher, The Streets, Jungle, Damian Marley, London Grammar have performed.

All ventures also employ a strong commitment throughout to fully traceable waste recycling and re-processing, and recruiting locally to minimize travel and contribute to the local economy.
